Committees
CHVI Interdepartmental Steering Committee
The CHVI Interdepartmental Steering Committee is the Government of Canada’s decision-making body for the initiative, and is responsible for developing strategic directions and an engagement strategy for new partners; implementing activities; reporting for accountability and other purposes; overseeing the management of the CHVI Secretariat; and providing overall direction and guidance.
The committee consists of representatives from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), Industry Canada, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and Health Canada. It is co-chaired by CIDA and PHAC members, who are responsible for leading overall activities.
